What Key Scenes to do?

We then started deciding on the actual scenes we waned to produce and film. To decide we took                                           into account factors such as if the scene was very difficult to make, how many characters we would need and what locations would be needed. This is was due to the fact that in some way we had to make sure the ideas we had could be made in the time span we had. For this we did a spider diagram with the main scenes we wanted to do and then thought on the logistics of it.

  • Here we were discussing about the key scenes...

After much thought about which scenes to films we then passed this information into digital, this way if something happened to the whiteboard we would have the information written down and cataloged.

Here we can see Sophie and Mara discussing about which scenes in question would be more suitable to produce at the school.

Afterwards writing down the key scenes we came with the problem of if we should produce either the new 'IT' from 2016 or the original movie from 1990. However, we soon decided to go with the first idea as we thought it would be easier for the public to recognise and we had more knowledge of it than the original one.

Then afterwards we decided to finally select the scenes. In the end we ended up deciding on:

  • The scene where Georgie gets his boat lost in the sewer. This due to the fact that it one of the most iconic scenes of the movie and would get people to easily recognise de film. In addition, we believe this scene would be relatively easy to recreate and would not impose much trouble. Moreover, there were little characters needed (only Pennywise and Georgie.)

  •    The scene where Pennywise gets out of the fridge and attacks Eddie. This being due to the fact, that we believed this scenes would be very entertaining to produce as it was a challenge on how to get our Pennywise into a fridge. In addition, we realised that we could use the teacher's staff room to film the scene. Moreover, there were a little number of characters present in the scene.

  • The scene where Bill and Richie have to decide between three doors. This being as it would be quite fun to recreate and would fit quite nicely with the aura we where trying to give the Swede, as it would use the same characters that are present in the two other scenes. Furthermore, we realised that we could easily use school facilities to film this scene.

  • Georgie in the sewer scene (reference used for Swede)

  • Pennywise in the Fridge scene (reference used)

  • Choosing between the doors ( reference used for Swede)
